ABOUT ABOUT

"SOME LIGHT AMID HEAT"

Our topic for next Wednesday's December meeting of the Club is (what else?) the election, the Trump presidency and prospects for the new Congress.  Our guests will be Alan Novak, former chair of the Pennsylvania Republican Party, and Dick Polman, who writes the center-left National Interest blog for WHYY/NewsWorks, and formerly was chief political correspondent at the Inquirer.  Sharp memories will note this is a change from our original lineup. U.S. Reps. Dwight Evans, Democrat of Philadelphia, and Charles Dent, Republican of Allentown, had to bow out because the House was called into session for Wednesday.  They send their regrets to the club.   But despair not, in their place we have two of the Commonwealth's best-informed and most candid political observers.  This will be a night of no spin, no platitudes, no fake news - just sharp and fact-based political analysis. Please join us at 5:30 p.m. at the Union League.
