ABOUT ABOUT

"Labor Day" - Pat Eiding

April 5 will become “Labor Day” for the Sunday Breakfast Club as welcome Pat Eiding, head of the Philadelphia Council of the AFL-CIO, as the latest in our series of chats with Philadelphia’s most intriguing people.   Our talk with Pat will be equal parts personal and policy.   Pat has fascinating stories to tell about being on the job as a journeyman and business manager and about what it took to make the Philadelphia Council, which includes more than 100 unions, a well-functioning organization. We’ll also get his thoughts on  how the labor movement is evolving, what it’s doing in the current environment to remain relevant, and how America should be thinking about its income inequality problem.  As always, if you have questions or issues you’d like to see Pat address, ship a note to Chris Satullo at [email protected].   We hope to see you there for this program, which will begin with cocktail hour at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5.
