ABOUT ABOUT

CHANGE IN THE 'HOOD

APRIL 2, 2014

In the last census, Philadelphia grew.   It grew mostly because of changes happening in neighborhoods all over the city, not just the most visible changes in Center City. With that growth come challenges and tensions, as well as opportunities. April's Sunday Breakfast Club presentation will dig deep into what the changes look like demographically, the reasons why Philly neighborhoods are thriving, and the tensions that simmer as new neighbors get to know one another.   Panelists include Larry Eichel, Director of the Philadelphia Program at The Pew Charitable Trusts; Rick Sauer, Executive Director of the Philadelphia Association of Community Development Corporations; and Urban Life Correspondent Elizabeth Fiedler of WHYY/NewsWorks.
